What is a Payment Service Provider (PSP)?

A PSP is a company which gives merchants (online businesses) payment processing solutions through a technical gateway with connection to Acquirer Banks.

Is Payteka a regulated PSP?

How does Payteka work?

When you use Payteka services, your customer begins the checkout process on your site and is redirected to Payteka’s secured payment page for the payment process. Once the payment is made the data is encrypted and sent to banks or issuers for approval. After the transaction is approved the funds are set aside by the acquiring bank and sent to the merchant at a pre-defined time. 

How can merchants monitor their online transaction activity?

Merchants can monitor their online transaction activities anytime on our web-based back office system. Access real-time transaction details including transaction reports, revenue flow and sales data. Our services also offer merchants instant email alerts set according to pre-defines such as approved and declines transactions.

How long will it take for my business to get approved for a merchant account?

Payteka partners with acquirer banks worldwide and aim to get your merchant account up and running in less than a week. 

Is Payteka secure?

Payteka holds security to the highest measure. All transaction data sent between merchants, Payteka’s gateway and financial institutions are securely encrypted, 128-bit SSL at network level and 1024-bit RSA, 168-bit Triple-DES at application level, assuring transaction data security and privacy. 

What kind of risk and fraud detection and prevention does Payteka offer?

Our fraud protection and risk management technology ranks highest in its class. Our extensive experience in online payments, fraud protection and risk management technology and PCI certification allow us to guarantee merchants a security above all else. 

How can Payteka handle multiple transactions at the same time?

Our payment gateway can be fully integrated with your business’ website with our easy to use API documentation. Payteka also offers customizable hosted payment solutions, redirecting customers to our payment page. This process required very little if any integration and offers flexible customization options to better the end-user checkout experience. 

What is Instant Vendor Notification (DMN)?

DMN ensure dependable communication between Payteka and merchant servers. DMN brings added value to the basic integration by reducing the risk of losing data. 

What is the purpose of DMN?

DMN is an added level of security and data loss protection. The DMN allows our server to directly communicate with merchant web servers, reducing the need for unnecessary communication. 

How can I integrate this feature?

DMN is an additional integration on top of the standard HTTP API integration necessary. You still need the standard integration as the DMN happens behind the scenes and does not provide you with the means to show results to your customers. 

Why is DMN useful for my online business?

The DMS reduced the risk of data loss by enabling direct server-to-server communication. When you have integrated the DMN, our server sends HTTP request directly to your servers without going through your customer’s browser. 

Do you provide a manual for the DMN API integration?

DMN API integration documents are a part of our developer kit and can be provided by our technical support team. In the case you have any questions about DMN integration please feel free to contact our technical support team.

How long does it take for the payment to be remitted to merchants after the transaction has been completed?

Collected funds will normally be settled with merchants within 30 days.

Is there any additional pre-transaction charge or will there be any fixed percentage charge on the amount of every transaction recorded?

ePayLink charging scheme includes a moderate setup and monthly fee, plus a competitive transaction charge at a fixed % of each successful transaction.
